Foam Pigs
Foam pigs are an inexpensive and versatile type of pipeline cleaning device. They are used for drying, cleaning, batching, and product removal operations in the oil and gas, municipality, food and beverage, mining, chemical and petrochemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Because they are lightweight and flexible, foam pigs are able to negotiate uncommon piping, fittings, and valves. Standard sizes range from 2″ to 60″, with industry-standard densities of foam ranging from 2-pound, 5-pound, and 8-pound per cubic foot. Common configurations include bare, criss-cross, wirebrush, plastic bristle, and silicon carbide. Special configurations can be designed for unique pigging applications.
Swabs & Bare Pigs
Models CYL, LB, MB, HB
Bare foam pigs are primarily used for drying and sweeping of loose debris, gauging of internal pipe conditions prior to extensive pigging, sealing behind a stuck pig, batching operations, and product removal. Models are available in 2, 5 and 8 pound per cubic foot foam density. The pigs are constructed from an open-cell polyurethane foam with a durable polyurethane elastomer coating on base.

Criss-cross Pigs
Models LC, LC-SS, MC, MC-SS, HC, HC-SS
Coated foam pigs are used for regular wiping and general cleaning. Models are available in 2, 5 and 8 pound per cubic foot foam density. Wire Brush or Plastic Bristle
Models LW, MW, HW, TW, GHS
Plastic bristle foam pigs are used for cleaning plastic pipes (PVC, fiberglass, HDPE) as well as internally coated steel pipe. The bristles are aggressive enough to clean most buildups, but not harmful to the pipe’s integrity. Models are available in 2, 5 and 8 pound per cubic foot foam density. The pigs are constructed from an open-cell polyurethane foam with a durable polyurethane elastomer coating in criss-cross pattern and embedded with plastic bristle straps.

Silicon Carbide
Models LS, MS, HS
Silicon carbide foam pigs are used for cleaning lines with high-level hardness buildup as well as rust and millscale. The abrasive compound can be in loose grit form or in a heavy-duty strap. Models are available in 2, 5 and 8 pound per cubic foot foam density. The pigs are constructed from an open-cell polyurethane foam with a durable polyurethane elastomer coating in criss-cross pattern and silicon carbide material in loose grit or strap form.
